Composite geomembrane
Product Introduction
Composite geomembrane is GEOLEED's all-around seepage control product. Simply put, it's a material that "bonds" a geomembrane (the core of the seepage control) to a geotextile (the protective layer) using thermal bonding technology.
1. Structural Forms (Common Specifications)
Composite geomembranes are often referred to as "one geotextile, one geomembrane" or "two geotextiles, one geomembrane":
One geotextile, one geomembrane: One layer of geotextile + one layer of geomembrane.
Two geotextiles, one geomembrane: Geotextile + geomembrane + geotextile (like a sandwich, the geomembrane is protected in the middle).
Multiple geotextiles and geomembranes: Customized according to specific project needs.
Working Principle
Working Principle (Three Simple Points)
The strength of composite geomembranes lies in their combination of the advantages of two materials:
Imperility Control (Membrane Function): The middle geomembrane ensures a completely leak-proof seal, effectively cutting off any seepage channels.
Protection and Drainage (Textile Function): The outer geotextile acts like a "bulletproof vest," preventing sharp stones from puncturing the membrane. Simultaneously, the gaps in the geotextile allow water and gas to escape from behind the membrane, preventing it from being lifted by air pressure.
Increased Friction: Pure geomembranes are slippery and cannot be laid on slopes. The composite geotextile roughens the surface, allowing it to bond tightly to the soil and rock, preventing landslides.

Application Case
Application
Application Scenarios (Where is it needed?)
Irrigation Canals/Artificial Lakes:Prevents lake water from seeping into the ground, while the layered membrane protects it from scratches by rubble on the banks.
Landscape Artificial Lakes/Rivers:Less difficult to construct and adaptable to complex lakebed topography.
HighwayRailway Subgrades:Used for subgrade drainage and seepage prevention, preventing groundwater rise from damaging the road surface.
Tailwell Dams/Reservoirs:Addresses seepage prevention needs under high-pressure environments.
